Tangerang Regency — The Patrol Unit of Panongan Police conducted mobile patrols to anticipate illegal street racing and potential disturbances to public security and order (kamtibmas) within its jurisdiction on Saturday afternoon (January 24, 2026).
The patrol activity, which began at around 4:00 PM WIB, targeted Jalan Raya Citra Raya, Panongan District, Tangerang Regency—an area that often becomes a hub of community activity and traffic in the late afternoon. The patrol was led by the officer on duty, Ipda Akhmad S, along with the patrol duty personnel.
Panongan Police Chief, IPTU Irruandy Aritonang, S.H., explained that the mobile patrols are a preventive measure to deter illegal street racing and other disturbances to public order that could endanger road users.
“This patrol aims to provide a sense of security to the community and to prevent illegal street racing, especially in the afternoon when traffic flow is quite heavy,” he said.
In addition to monitoring the area, officers also delivered public security messages to the community and road users, encouraging them to remain vigilant and to drive carefully for the safety of all.
During the mobile patrol, conditions along Jalan Raya Citra Raya were observed to be safe and conducive, with no illegal street racing activities or notable incidents found.
