A drone strike in Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdish region has killed a member of an Iranian Kurdish opposition group, according to the organisation.
The Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan said multiple drones targeted its positions on Wednesday in the Zrgwezala area near the Iraqi city of Sulaimaniyah.
Party officials said at least eight drones were involved in the attack, which killed one fighter and injured two.
Komala official Ali Ranjder blamed Iran for the strike. There has been no comment from Iran.
The attack comes amid the Israeli-US war on Iran and reports that Washington wants Kurdish fighters in Iraq to attack Iran.
